Press Release
06.27.2025

Stinson LLP Partner Heidi Wicker has been elected president of Women in Housing & Finance, Inc. (WHF) for the 2025-2026 term. WHF is a nonpartisan association of women and men that brings together professionals from the housing and financial services sectors to engage on policy, innovation and leadership development.

Wicker previously served as WHF’s president-elect from 2023 to 2025 and has been a dedicated member of the organization since 2004.

"I have gained so much from WHF over the last two decades, from mentorship and professional development to lasting connections with leaders across government and industry," she said. "It is an honor to now step into the role of president and continue the legacy work of supporting this impactful organization which has provided a forum for fostering connections in the financial and housing industries for over 45 years."

In her role, Wicker will oversee the organization’s programming and events, including its signature Annual Symposium, a widely attended conference for the housing and financial services industries, as well as legislative and regulatory receptions, and monthly public policy luncheons. She will also help advance WHF’s mission of connecting members across the public and private sectors, as well as promoting leadership and professional development opportunities in the D.C. region and beyond.

Wicker focuses her practice on banking, payments law, FinTech and financial regulatory matters, and has represented clients in each segment of the industry for nearly two decades. Her immense depth of industry knowledge provides invaluable insight to companies concerning legal issues related to developing new products and services, regulatory licensing and compliance matters and structuring agreements with financial institutions, third parties, or FinTech companies.
