Press Release
08.03.2023

Stinson LLP Partner Murray Silverstein has been installed as president of The Florida Bar Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing greater access to justice through funding for legal aid and improvements in the administration of justice.

"It's an honor to be able to continue to serve the Foundation and Florida's legal community, in addition to serving individuals and communities who lack the resources to champion the cause of justice," Silverstein said. "The opportunity to play a central role in providing access to justice and opportunity for all is not one to take lightly. I look forward to continuing the efforts of expanding innovative pro bono initiatives and removing barriers to living stable and productive lives."

Silverstein is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow and a member of the Foundation's Silver Lifetime Giving Society. He has served on the Foundation's Board of Directors since 2015, and was chair of the Technology Committee from 2019 to 2022, in addition to serving as a member on a variety of other Foundation committee and commissions. He maintains an active pro bono practice and is the past recipient of the William Reece Smith Jr. Public Service Award, The Florida Bar President's Award of Merit and The Florida Bar President's Pro Bono Service Award.

Silverstein's experience in the courtroom and his ability to streamline complicated issues provides effective representation to his clients through strong written and oral advocacy skills. He utilizes skills honed through more than 30 years of offering clients an effective approach to resolving or litigating complex disputes in the areas of business, commercial and real estate matters in federal and state courts.
