Overview

Amy thrives on working with clients to create estate and gift planning solutions tailored to their unique goals, needs, and family situations. With focus areas in estate planning; charitable giving; complex gifting and trusts; gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax planning; probate, estate and trust administration; and business succession planning, Amy assists clients of all types including individuals and families.

Experience

  • Advises individuals and families regarding crafting an estate plan that meets the client's needs for current needs and future generations.
  • Works on complex trust formation and gifting, as well as gift tax compliance reporting to the IRS.
  • Assists clients with estate and trust administration and preparing tax reporting as needed for estate tax returns.
  • Amy is dedicated to her community and works as a pro bono attorney for clients of the firm's Deinard Legal Clinic, most frequently in guardianships and estate planning.
  • Amy values clear writing that conveys to clients the meaning of their legal documents. She worked as a writing and literature instructor in college and a legal writing instructor in law school.
