Caroline helps clients navigate complex estate planning and tax matters with clarity, guidance and a practical, step-by-step approach.

Overview

She assists individuals and families in developing personalized solutions for estate planning, estate administration, and estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax matters. Caroline takes pride in breaking down complex processes into manageable portions so clients feel informed and confident at every stage. Her experience ranges from drafting essential estate planning documents such as wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives, to drafting and administering complex trusts, including self-settled trusts, lifetime gifting vehicles, and monitoring gift tax compliance. She is valued for her organized approach, helping trustees and families manage even the most intricate matters with ease.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Caroline gained valuable legal experience as a summer associate at Stinson. Caroline was also a student attorney and student director for the Ronald M. Mankoff Tax Clinic at the University of Minnesota Law School. In the clinic, Caroline represented low-income individuals with their income tax disputes with the Internal Revenue Service and the Minnesota Department of Revenue, which included participating in settlement negotiations, preparing administrative appeals and litigating in the United States Tax Court.
