Jeff focuses on complex commercial finance matters, including commercial lending and equipment leasing and finance transactions.
Overview
Jeff represents commercial banks, Farm Credit System institutions, community banks, equipment leasing companies, family offices and borrowers in a wide range of sophisticated finance transactions. He has significant experience leading syndicated, club and bilateral loan transactions, including asset-based loans, working capital loans, acquisition and construction finance, project finance, real estate loans and equipment and facility lease transactions.
Jeff is particularly active in the agribusiness space, where his experience spans the full range of agribusiness commodities, including dairy, grain, livestock and other protein, and biofuels.
He has also handled hundreds of equipment leasing and finance transactions involving assets as varied as solar power projects, grain handling and storage facilities, processing and manufacturing equipment and facilities, livestock facilities, railcars, warehouses and cold storage facilities.
Jeff leads the firm's Agribusiness Finance team and chairs the firm's Agribusiness Industry Group.
Before joining Stinson, Jeff was senior counsel at a Farm Credit System bank. Jeff began his career at international law firms in New York City and Houston where he led cross-border and domestic financings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and project development transactions in the energy and infrastructure sectors. His clients included large financial institutions, alternative asset managers, state-owned and government-sponsored enterprises and multinational corporations.
