Press Release
11.20.2025

Stinson LLP attorney Joseph Guzzetta has authored the 2025-2026 edition of The Rutter Group’s California Practice Guide: Privacy Law. Recognized as the authoritative guide to California privacy law, the treatise provides legal professionals with comprehensive guidance on compliance with the state’s complex and rapidly evolving privacy regulations.

Guzzetta’s treatise has played an influential role in the field, including being cited by the California Court of Appeals in a landmark ruling involving the California Privacy Protection Agency’s enforcement authority under the California Privacy Rights Act. The guide is widely used by practitioners and organizations to navigate domestic and international privacy frameworks and serves as a go-to resource for understanding California’s privacy law landscape.

Guzzetta focuses his practice on privacy data and security law, advising clients on compliance, drafting privacy policies and data processing agreements, and handling privacy considerations in mergers, financings and other change-of-control transactions. In addition to his deep knowledge of privacy law, Guzzetta brings more than 20 years of litigation experience, representing clients through all stages of trial and litigation.
