08.18.2026

Stinson LLP attorney Nanette Turner Kalcik is featured in the Wichita Business Journal's "Women Who Lead" series.

The series highlights women making significant strides in their fields and recognizes their achievements and contributions in the Wichita business community. In her profile, Kalcik discusses her career path, the mentors who have influenced her and the advice she would offer to women pursuing a career in law.

Kalcik credits her early legal experience, including her clerkship with U.S. District Judge Wesley E. Brown, with helping shape her approach to advocacy and the practice of law. She also emphasizes the importance of mentorship, preparation, and meaningful professional relationships.

"Use your voice, trust your instincts, and do not let fear or self-doubt hold you back," she says, offering advice to women entering the legal profession.

In discussing what she values more about her work, Kalcik highlights the relationships she builds with clients and colleagues and the opportunity to help people navigate important and often uncertain moments. She says she finds it rewarding to earn clients' trust and work collaboratively to develop strategies that help them achieve their goals.

Kalcik focuses her practice on a broad range of complex civil litigation matters, including employment disputes, tort and personal injury actions, Title IX claims, class and collective action claims, aviation law, trade secret litigation, medical malpractice, and a variety of other commercial and civil litigation matters. She also has a robust appellate and employment litigation practice. She is licensed in Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri.
