Press Release
07.03.2024

Stinson LLP represented Liberty Hospital of Liberty, Missouri, in a strategic growth partnership to join The University of Kansas Health System, effective July 1, 2024. Stinson attorneys provided legal and financial counsel to Liberty Hospital to ensure the successful completion of the transaction, allowing the two parties to collaborate, integrate resources and achieve their shared goals.

The transaction also includes an over $300 million investment in Liberty Hospital over a 12-year period, with funds dedicated to upgrading technology, renovating and expanding facilities and enhancing recruitment efforts to improve patient care.

"This partnership combines the strengths of academic and community medicine in ways that support better health across the Northland," Liberty Hospital Board of Trustees Chair Dennis Carter said in a May release after the two parties signed definitive agreements to integrate.
