Amanda partners with clients to resolve complex labor and employment issues, offering thoughtful guidance rooted in experience and a deep commitment to service.

Overview

Amanda advises clients on the full range of labor and employment matters, including union representation campaigns and elections, collective bargaining, unfair labor practice claims, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absence and reasonable accommodations, and terminations. She also counsels employers on drafting employment policies and handbooks, negotiating separation agreements, implementing arbitration agreements, and responding to pre-litigation demand letters. She is known for her ability to distill complex legal issues into practical solutions, and she works closely with employers and employees to navigate sensitive workplace challenges with confidence and care.

Amanda guides employers through compliance with key federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, including the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the California Labor Code, the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and City and County Fair Workweek Ordinances. When policies and practices are challenged, Amanda represents employers before the California Civil Rights Department (CRD), the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the California Occupational Safety and Health Administration (Cal/OSHA).

Before entering private practice, Amanda worked at the National Labor Relations Board where she investigated charges of unfair labor practices, litigated complex labor disputes, conducted union elections, served as a hearing officer in contested representation matters, and negotiated settlements. Her public-sector experience gives her a strategic, informed perspective that clients across industries rely on.

Committed to service, Amanda is actively involved with the firm's pro bono efforts.
